How to prepare for your appointment

For the day of the appointment, we ask that you come prepared to ensure
a good, clean & enjoyable process. Below are the ways that you should prepare your body & mind for the tattoo process.

PAYMENT

All tattoos must be made in cash. Be sure to pull out cash ahead of time as the ATMs around the shop have limits on what you can withdraw. If you forget to bring cash, there is a 3% fee to pay via Paypal.

SLEEP

Get a full night’s rest before you come in. Tattooing is a very physical process. So do yourself a favor and aim for at least 8 hours of sleep the night before your appointment.

SOBER

Please refrain from drinking heavily 24 hours before the tattoo. This will make the process so much easier for the both of us. I will turn you away if I feel you are still drunk from the night before.

TIME

Make sure you have plenty of time for the tattoo appointment! I do not like to be rushed, a rushed tattoo looks like a rushed tattoo, so please block out more than enough time.

SNACKS &
WATER

Eat a solid meal before your appointment! Your body is going through a ton of stress during a tattoo and this makes a world of difference when it comes to endurance. If it's a long session, a snack can help keep your blood sugar up and your head in the game. I recommend a cliff bar or something with sugar + protein in it. Some shops don't provide water so, it's ideal to bring your own to stay hydrated.

CLOTHES

Please bring/wear proper clothing for the area to be tattooed with ease.

ENTERTAINMENT

Please bring your own headphones, laptop, iPad, iPod, book, whatever you need to help pass the time & help you to feel for comfortable.

All confirmed clients are scheduled for a maximum of 8 hours per session. This applies both to local clients and clients traveling to Spirits & Rituals in Los Angeles, CA from the state or country in which they reside.

Many of these designs are often grand in nature and such large-scope concepts require more than one and/or several sessions. Please refer to ESTIMATES section here.

Clients will be charged at the end of each session. If the session meets its maximum of 8 hours, the client will be responsible for a payment of $2400 USD. Otherwise, this will be preceded by the usual hourly rate.

Under no circumstance will a design be rushed to completion, nor will a session exceed 8 hours, without consent from CJ or his Assistant at least 2 weeks prior to the scheduled appointment date.
